Stair
systems

Monumental stairs built as a single assembly, structure and rail detailed together.

Any configuration

Monumental stairs come in many different configurations — straight-run, curved, straight-run flights with curved platforms, and spiral stairs with varying degrees of rotation or curvature.

Stairs can be constructed from carbon steel and stainless steel in all types of finishes. We can offer a painted finish, or a stair ready to receive a covering of your choice. CSI engineers, fabricates and installs each stair as a single assembly, analyzed with COSMOS/M finite element software for the member sizes and connections it needs to meet loading criteria and code.

The monumental stair has a single stringer at its centerline with ash wood treads. Its glass guardrail is 13/16″ low-iron glass on a button rail system, with a 1″ × 2″ ash wood handrail and wall rail. At the balcony, 9/16″ low-iron glass sits in an aluminum shoe system wrapped in non-directional stainless steel cladding. The ash has a natural finish with a clear top coat.
